END OF ONE ERA - START OF A NEW ONE

Founder-member of New Forest Storytellers, Graham Rogers, and his wife Val, have decided to step down from their commitments to the New Forest Storytellers and the Heads and Tales Story Café.  We wish them both well with their new-found freedom. Of course, we hope they'll still look in from time to time, and even tell a tale or two when the occasion moves them. But this Thursday, the 18th of December, will be the last one with Graham in charge and Val on the door. So there's one good reason to turn up - to say goodbye to them properly!

Well, out with the old and in with the new, as they say, and what better time than New Year? So, from January 15th 2015 onwards we will be using a slightly different format: open mike as usual for the first half of the evening, and then a headline feature storyteller for the  second half. Most months it will be one of your favourite New Forest Storytellers headlining, but we will have some guest storytellers, with a national or even international reputation, dotted throughout the year, too.

If you want a spot in the open mike part of the evening, let us know in advance, [click on Jill Barr in the side-bar] with an idea of how long your story will last, so you don't miss your opportunity to tell.

In the meantime, the New Forest Storytellers wish you all the best for Christmas and the New Year, and look forward to seeing you at the Heads and Tales Story Café in 2015!
